A New Chapter for Georgia.
Following Tuesday’s historic election results, I want to recognize the significance of this moment and the responsibility that comes with it.
As we move forward, our focus must remain on listening to the people, delivering meaningful results, and creating opportunities that strengthen our communities.
I remain committed to being a strong voice for District 3 and advocating for the needs and priorities of the residents I serve.

I respect the right of every resident and elected official to express their opinions and peacefully protest decisions they disagree with. That is an important part of our democracy.
However, the Board of Commissioners has debated and voted on the Urban Camping Ordinance. The measure passed 5–2, and I believe our responsibility now is to focus on the work the people of DeKalb County elected us to do.
We have serious issues demanding our attention, including the recent shooting of two DeKalb County police officers, public safety concerns, and important matters affecting families, neighborhoods, and businesses across our county.
While some may choose to continue debating an issue the Board has already decided, I believe our time is better spent addressing these pressing challenges and delivering results for residents.
Any demonstration at county facilities must also respect the safety of commissioners, county employees, visitors, and those exercising their right to protest. Everyone deserves to feel safe while conducting the public's business.
We can respect differences of opinion without allowing those differences to distract us from our responsibilities. The people of DeKalb County deserve leadership focused on solutions, public safety, and moving our county forward.

Happy November! Let’s take a look at some key events this week in D3!
This past Saturday, I was proud to support the 2026 Georgia HOA Boot Camp hosted by the Georgia HOA Alliance at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center.
The event brought together homeowners, HOA leaders, and community members for valuable discussions and education surrounding homeowner rights, HOA leadership, community management, and upcoming legislative changes.
Thank you to the Georgia HOA Alliance, the facilitators, and everyone who participated in making this event a success. Stronger neighborhoods start with informed residents, engaged leadership, and empowered communities.
