The Bank expanded into a new and exciting area in July 2014 with the opening of a loan production office in historic downtown Huntsville. Now a full service sales office, this was the 27th Bank Independent office, offering exceptional service to a seventh county. A second full-service office was opened in Madison in 2018. Making an impact beyond the court!
Congratulations to North Alabama Beach Volleyball student-athlete Brooke Bolden, this week’s Bank Independent Community Impact Award recipient!
Brooke recorded the most community service hours among UNA student-athletes during the 2025–2026 academic year. A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, she has served with Church of the Highlands, Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter, Common Ground Shoals, and the Dr. Seuss Read Across America program.

Our team was right on target at the Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce 2026 Sporting Clays Tournament!
Ginger McGough, Amanda Hicks, Drew Blakely and Martin Warren joined their teammates for some friendly competition, with Amanda earning Top Female and Drew taking home Top Male!

What an opening night!
The first football game at Bank Independent Stadium was a huge success, ending with a 38–20 UNA victory over Alcorn State. The Lions return home this weekend to host Western Illinois for Family Day. Bring the family, wear your white and help us white out the stadium!
