Candy corn has been causing arguments for a LOT longer than we realized. 😂

Did you know candy corn was originally marketed as “Chicken Feed” in the late 1800s? 🌽🐔 Its shape and name were meant to appeal to America’s largely agricultural population at the time.

Thankfully, somebody eventually decided Candy Corn sounded a little more appetizing. 😂

But now we need to settle the real debate:

🍁🚗 TIP TUESDAY: Fall Safety on the Road

Fall driving comes with its own little surprises—earlier sunsets, foggy mornings, wet roads, and plenty of wildlife on the move. Before you head out, give your car a quick seasonal check:

✔️ Make sure your headlights are bright
✔️ Check those wiper blades
✔️ Take a look at your tires—including the spare
✔️ Give yourself extra time in rain, fog, or frost
✔️ Keep an eye out for deer, especially around dawn and dusk 🦌

And since we’re in North Alabama… which one gets your attention faster: a deer beside the road or the low-fuel light? 😂👇

❄️ MYTH MONDAY: Winter Weather Edition!

MYTH: Homeowners insurance will cover any damage caused by winter weather.

FACT: While homeowners policies may cover many types of winter-weather damage, limits and exclusions can apply. What’s covered depends on your specific policy and what caused the damage.

Cold weather has a way of showing up when we least expect it—especially here in Alabama. 😂 Now is a good time to tackle those simple winter-prep jobs before the first freeze arrives.
