It’s gone so well. I missed it but I went back and feel so great about it.

I say that to ask this…

What have you let go of that you miss and want back? Your time? More money? A time in life you happy? You can get that girl! You deserve it.

Go get it! And get your happy back. Obtain the joy you had Boo!

Kadi won the bet, but Mama got the VICTORY! 😂💪🏽💕

A few years ago, I purchased this SWAT outfit for a party. Over time, I gained some weight, and eventually, I couldn’t fit into it anymore.

Well, my oldest daughter, Kadi, challenged me! She said she believed I could fit into it again. I wasn’t so sure, but I decided to give it a try.

AND BABYYYY… KADI WON THAT BET! 😂🙌🏽

This is your reminder that progress isn’t always about what the scale says. Sometimes it’s putting on an outfit you couldn’t wear before. Sometimes it’s noticing your body changing. And sometimes it’s realizing that your consistency is paying off, even when you don’t see it every day.

I’m still on my journey, but I’m learning to celebrate the victories along the way!

Don’t get so caught up in where you’re trying to go that you forget to celebrate how far you’ve come! 💗

Now excuse me while I go celebrate this little non-scale victory! 😂🏆

What is it to live this life and not take care of the body you’ve been blessed with? You gotta listen to your body. Take the time to go get checked out, get labs drawn, and take the advice of the medical professionals that you see. Not sure who to go to or where to start? Ask around. Ask people that you know and even check out reviews of some of your local clinicians.

I refuse to teach women that health requires them to stop participating in their own lives.

There will be birthdays.
Sunday dinners.
Vacations.
Restaurants.
Holidays.
And somebody’s macaroni and cheese that absolutely deserves your attention.

The skill isn’t avoiding food forever, yall. The skill is learning how to enjoy food without letting one meal become permission to abandon yourself. Eat it. Enjoy it. Pay attention to your fullness. Then make your next decision.

No guilt.
No starving tomorrow.
No “I’ll start over Monday.”

A healthy lifestyle should be strong enough to survive a plate of macaroni and cheese.

I’m a nurse. I knew what excess weight could do to the body.
I knew the importance of movement.
I knew what healthier eating looked like.

And I still had to learn how to actually live it.

That’s why I don’t believe most women need another person throwing information at them.

You probably already know you need to drink more water.
You know you need to move your body.
You know the drive-thru probably shouldn’t know your order by heart. 😂

The gap isn’t always knowledge. Sometimes it’s learning how to turn what you know into how you live.

That’s the work.

And that is exactly why Champion Wellness exists.

I wish I could tell her she wasn’t a “before.”

She wasn’t something that needed to be fixed before she deserved to actually FEEL beautiful…. She was already beautiful.

I can want better for my body without hating the body that carried me here. I can celebrate who I’m becoming without disrespecting who I used to be.

And that’s something I want every woman who follows Champion Wellness to understand:

We are not changing because the old version of us was worthless.

We’re changing because we’ve decided to take care of the woman she became. That’s the difference between transformation rooted in shame and transformation rooted in love.

Heal her. Teach her. Strengthen her.
But don’t hate her…🥺

Give her some love and grace.

One of the biggest mistakes I made early on honestly, was thinking getting healthier meant constantly finding ways to eat less.

Now I think differently…. Thank God.

How can I make this meal work better for me?
Where’s my protein?
What portion actually satisfies me?
What can I add instead of constantly obsessing over what I need to take away?

Tonight? Protein pasta.

Not a “perfect” meal.
Not punishment food.

Sweetie, I’m just a woman learning how to make normal food fit the life and body she’s building.

Sustainable change has to survive Tuesday night dinner.
