Once again, Cracker Barrel did NOT disappoint! Last week, we headed up north for a little shopping, some delicious food, and, of course, lots of laughs and great company! 🥰

There’s just something special about getting out, exploring familiar places, enjoying a good meal, and making memories together. Our residents always have the BEST time on these adventures, and we love seeing the smiles, hearing the stories, and enjoying every moment along the way! ❤️

It’s not always about where we go, but who we get to share the experience with. These little adventures mean so much, and we are so grateful for every opportunity to make more memories together!

There’s just something special about music that brings people together, sparks memories, and puts smiles on faces! We always have such a fantastic time when you visit, and we’re already looking forward to the next time!

🩷 THINK PINK! MAKING A DIFFERENCE, ONE SHIRT AT A TIME! 🩷

The Carriages of Decatur was proud to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀💗 Many of our staff, residents, and their family members purchased pink shirts to stand alongside those who have fought, are currently fighting, or have been impacted by this awful disease.

While we know $100 may seem like a small amount in the grand scheme of things, every dollar makes a difference, and our residents are absolutely PROUD to donate $100 from the profits of our shirt sales to Cancer Care of Decatur! 🩷🙌

This is what community is all about — coming together, supporting one another, and showing those facing difficult battles that they are not alone. We are honored to play a small part in supporting the incredible work being done right here in our community!

💜 $700 RAISED FOR A CAUSE THAT MEANS SO MUCH TO US! 💜

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is such a special event for us at The Carriages of Decatur, and each year, we work hard to collect donations to support this important cause. Today, we are thrilled to share that, thanks to our incredibly supportive and gracious community, we were able to raise and donate $700! 💜🙌

Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia are realities we know all too well at The Carriages of Decatur. We see firsthand how these conditions affect not only those living with dementia but also the families who love them. That’s why we look forward to the day when a cure is found and families no longer have to face this journey.

Until that day comes, research continues to make meaningful strides, bringing new hope, better treatments, and improved support for those living with dementia. Every donation helps move us one step closer to a brighter future!

🧙‍♀️🧹 WE’RE ABSOLUTELY SPELLBOUND BY THESE WITCHES’ BROOMSTICKS! 🧹🧙‍♀️

What started as a hilarious adventure turned into what might just be our VERY FAVORITE CRAFT SO FAR! 😂💜

It all began with our residents going on a wild goose chase around Fairview Park, searching for fallen branches we thought would make the PERFECT witch’s broomsticks. To all the cars that passed our bus and probably wondered what in the world we were up to… well, we’ll just say you weren’t entirely wrong! 🤣 We’re a little crazy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Once we gathered our treasures, it was time to get to work! We drilled holes, added paint, wrapped beautiful ribbons, and watched those ordinary branches transform into some absolutely AMAZING witches’ broomsticks! 🧹✨ Every broomstick turned out unique, and we couldn’t be more proud of our residents and their creativity!

At The Carriages of Decatur, we believe some of the best memories come from the most unexpected adventures. A little fresh air, a lot of laughter, and some busy hands made for one unforgettable craft!

Busy hands = happy hearts… and apparently, a whole lot of witchcraft! 😉🖤

We had such a GREAT time hosting the October Central Illinois Care Networking meeting yesterday! 🍂🕷️

A huge shoutout to Jeannie Parker with Gentiva for keeping this wonderful group going and bringing together such an amazing network of healthcare professionals! ❤️ We are surrounded by incredible individuals representing outstanding businesses throughout Decatur, and we feel truly honored to work alongside each of them. When we come together to share ideas, build relationships, and support one another, our entire community benefits!

And can we talk about these adorable (and slightly spooky!) spider croissant tacos?! 🕷️🌮 Angela absolutely knocked it out of the park with these festive treats! They were almost too cute to eat… ALMOST! 😂🧡

🎃🍂 A trip to the pumpkin patch has become a favorite fall tradition here at The Carriages of Decatur, and this year did NOT disappoint! 🧡

We headed out to Black Bart’s Pumpkin Patch in Warrensburg, and WOW, did Mother Nature show off for us! ☀️🌾 We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to spend out in the country with a few of our country guys and gals. The crops were being harvested, the weather was absolutely perfect, and we even brought home some pumpkins to kick off our fall decorating! 🎃🚜

There’s just something special about getting out in the fresh country air, enjoying the beauty of the season, and making memories together. ❤️

We paired these delicious goodies with a spooky movie afternoon featuring Beetlejuice, and it was the perfect way to enjoy some Halloween fun! 👻🍿

It never ceases to amaze us just how generous and caring our Decatur businesses are toward our residents and our community. We are truly humbled by your kindness and grateful to have such wonderful community partners who help make these special moments possible. ❤️
