A Faithful Saint Has Made It Home! 🕊️❤️

Heaven has gained another faithful saint of God.

Until we meet again on that beautiful shore, where there will be no more sickness, no more sorrow, no more tears, and no more goodbyes. ❤️

Funeral service for Glenn Lee Sparks, age 81, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Pentecostal Tabernacle Church with Pastor Rick Strain officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the church. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. Guestbook available at www.parkwayfh.com.

Mr. Sparks, who died Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at his residence, was born June 21, 1945, in Alabama to Ira Leo Sparks and Molly Grace Heflin Sparks. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curtis Jenkins; sister, Mildred Smith (Hershell); and sister-in-law, Annelee Sparks. He was a very loyal Christian, and a firm believer who never missed church. He and his cherished wife, Judy, were married for 61 years. Glenn loved his family. He appreciated the simple things in life and thoroughly enjoyed hunting. His big heart had him always standing up and looking out for the less fortunate.

❤️ PASTOR APPRECIATION — HONORING THOSE WHO WATCH OVER OUR SOULS! ❤️

What a blessing it is to have a pastor and pastor’s wife who faithfully love, lead, pray for, and sacrifice for the people of God! 🙌

Here at Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, we are truly blessed with Pastor Rick Strain and Sister Strain! Their dedication to the work of the Lord, their unwavering stand for truth, and their genuine love for the church do not go unnoticed.

📖 Jeremiah 3:15 — “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

A true pastor does more than stand behind a pulpit and preach. He carries a burden for souls, spends countless hours in prayer, stands strong when others are weak, and faithfully points God’s people toward Heaven.

📖 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 reminds us to know those who labor among us and to “esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.”

Pastor and Sister Strain, we want you to know that YOU ARE LOVED, HONORED, AND APPRECIATED! ❤️

Thank you for every prayer, every sacrifice, every encouraging word, and every time you have stood in the gap for God’s people.

📖 Hebrews 13:17 — “…for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account…”

May we never take for granted the blessing of having a pastor who loves the truth, preaches the Word, and genuinely cares for the souls entrusted to his leadership.

We love and appreciate you both! May God continue to strengthen, and bless you!

We are 6 days away from the Apex Youth Rally!

Come be our guest!
