DPS Alternative Education

🍂🧡 What a wonderful day at Decatur Alternative Education! 🐉💚💛

Our 1st Annual Fall Into Family Festival was filled with fun, laughter, activities, and special moments! We were so excited to see several of our families join their students to participate in fun activities and make memories together.

A huge thank-you to Ms. Brooks for planning this event! A special thank you to our wonderful team of teachers and TAs who made each room into a fun activity for our students and their families to enjoy! 🐉💛💚

We also want to thank our district administrators for stopping by and showing their support!🤗💚💛

At DAE, we’re building more than a school community; we’re building connections that matter inside and outside the classroom🐉💚💛

🎃👻 We wrapped up Spirit Week at Decatur Alternative Education with a little Halloween fun! 🐉💚💛

Our final spirit day was Halloween PJs Day, and our Dragons had fun wearing their festive pajamas! What an exciting way to close out a week of showing our Dragon pride and school spirit!

That’s how we do it at DAE! 🐉💚💛

💚💛 Celebrating Our School Leaders! 🐉🎉

This week, we celebrated Illinois Principal and Assistant Principal Appreciation Week! We surprised our very own Dr. Jones with a special luncheon in honor of her leadership and her first year as a principal. We made it extra special by arranging for Dr. Rodriguez to surprise her at the luncheon! 💐😊

We also presented Mrs. Strong, our substitute assistant principal, with a small token of appreciation for her support and dedication.

Thank you, Dr. Jones and Mrs. Strong, for all you do! We appreciate you! 💚💛🐉
