For World Stroke Day, commit to learning the B.E. F.A.S.T. warning signs. You just might save a life from stroke.
🔹Strokes can happen to anyone, at any age.
🔹Globally about one in four adults over the age of 25 will have a stroke in their lifetime.
🔹Most adults in the U.S. don’t know the B.E. F.A.S.T. warning signs of a stroke.
🔹Stroke is largely treatable if you call 911 as soon as you recognize the symptoms.

Honoring the organ and tissue donation community.
HSHS St. Mary's Hospital will host a special National Donor Sabbath event on Friday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. in the St. Clare of Assisi Chapel. The service will honor organ and tissue donors, their families and all who have been touched by the gift of donation. 🩵
Thank you to Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network for partnering with us to honor and remember those who have given or received organs and tissues, those who continue to wait and those who have passed.
When your newborn needs specialized care, you want to know they’re in caring hands, every step of the way.
For babies born too soon or critically ill, that care can begin before they reach HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital. A specialized NICU ground transport bed helps our team care for these little ones during the ambulance ride to the hospital.
Local donations to HSHS St. John’s Foundation help make equipment like this possible, supporting babies and families when they need it most.

Advocating. Educating. Uplifting.

“Something that’s near and dear to my heart is preventative care, and if I have the opportunity to be a voice and use my platform to advocate for my community, then that’s what I’m going to do!”

October is Safe Sleep Awareness Month. Harrison was 3 months old when his family lost him to sudden unexpected infant death (SUID). Today his mom, Becca, shares her story and works alongside HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital Foundation so other families don't face that loss.
Through our new Safe Sleep Initiative, funded by local donor dollars, our babies in our NICU and nursery go home with sleep sacks, safe sleep education, and portable cribs for families who need one.
