Honoring the 76th Birthday of Bro. Dr. Ronald E. McNair.

Born October 21, 1950, in Lake City, South Carolina, Bro. McNair was a pioneering laser physicist, NASA astronaut, fifth-degree karate black belt, accomplished saxophonist, and champion of education.

Initiated into through Mu Psi Chapter at North Carolina A&T State University in 1969, he graduated magna cm laude in 1971, earned his doctorate from MIT in 1976, and became the second African American to travel into space aboard Space Shuttle Challenger in 1984.

From a nine-year-old boy who challenged segregation at his local library to an astronaut who helped redefine what was possible, his remarkable journey continues to inspire generations. Though his life was tragically cut short in the 1986 Challenger disaster, his legacy endures through the McNair Scholars Program, institutions bearing his name, and countless lives touched by his achievements.

A brilliant mind. An Omega Man. A pioneer whose legacy reaches far beyond the stars.
