🎃🐾 Keep the Frights Fun! Halloween Pet Safety Tips 👻

Halloween is full of tricks and treats, but some of the holiday fun can be downright spooky for our four-legged friends!

Before the ghosts and goblins arrive, keep these pet safety tips in mind:

🍫 Keep candy out of paws' reach! Chocolate and candies containing xylitol can be toxic to pets. Keep treat bowls and candy bags safely out of reach.

🚪 Beware of escape artists! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, even the calmest pet might make a dash for the door. Consider a quiet, secure room away from the excitement.

🕸️ Decorate with care! Glow sticks, electrical cords, candles, and decorations can pose hazards to curious pets. Keep tempting decorations out of reach.

🐶 Costumes should be cute AND comfortable! If your pet isn't a fan of dressing up, skip the costume! Never force an outfit that restricts movement, breathing, or vision.

🔖 Check those IDs! Make sure your pet's ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case they slip away during the festivities.

🧡 Have questions about Halloween hazards, need to update your pet's microchip information, or notice something concerning after a candy mishap? Give your veterinary team a call. They're happy to help you and your furry family members enjoy a safe, happy Halloween!
