Samoyed Rescue
Y-Not Save a Sam Rescue is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2012 to rescue Samoyed's in need, whether they are in shelters, found on the streets or an owner surrender. We are open to saving dogs in all geographic areas (both in the United States and abroad), of all ages, and in all health conditions, as funding allows. Y-Not Save a Sam Rescue operates independently and must generate our own donations to fund operational costs including veterinary care, travel expenses, boarding, and training.

Early yesterday, we were lucky to get all the dog walked - including Beau and Rudy our vision & hearing impaired, merle Sheltie also was out in his wagon- while it was warm & sunny. Thank you to our volunteer Dog walkers-USU students for being here to help out. Beau’s walks are very short but he enjoy hanging out watching the others takeoff and an occasional neighborhood friend stopping by to give him a little extra attention.
A rain storm moved in late afternoon and we’ve been dealing with rain ever since. Maybe later this afternoon we can get them out for another walk to help w/ the boredom, wiggles and barking going on.
Unfortunately, Facebook will not permit video and photos on the same post. Here is a 17 second video of part of our morning “walk”. Beau is currently not allowed to walk very far being only one week postop FHO surgery /left side. He was excited to meet up w/ couple of our other current rescues out on their morning walks.
We definitely do appreciate our morning dog walkers too.
*will follow up w/ a photo collage update too.
Beau outside on a Saturday in the Big Backyard enjoy the Sunshine ☀️.

Quick update - BEAU arrived back at home late yesterday afternoon. He’s been resting comfortably, eating and drinking, we get him up every 4 to 6 hours for a slow stretch & potty walk, then he’s down and out- resting.
Martha went out on a home trial adoption earlier this week. She’s doing great. She’s very loved getting lots of walks / exercise. She was sent her off with a bag of brand new toys - she was especially excited about the dragon.
Stewart is doing great on his two week trial- he loves his new sammy brother YETI & the cat- they are all getting along great. We expect his adoption to be finalized on Sunday.
This past Sunday, we had to move our fundraising event indoors because of an unfortunate amount of rain falling here in Northern Utah for three days consistently. We had a great time and a good turnout, wonderful food, lots of friends, fosters, adopters and soggy sammy’s. The silent auction was a big hit. Lots of people left with some very nice winnings. Looking forward to next year, definitely schedule earlier and warmer weather.
Thank you again for following our Rescue page and supporting our cause.

Update: foster found 💙
Foster needed ASAP!
This samoyed was dumped out in Riverside county and has been living at a plant nursery for several months. Neighbors and employees of the plant nursery have been feeding him but they reached out to us tonight to ask for our help rescuing him. We are guessing he’s around 4 years old. He is sweet and friendly. We don’t know much else. He doesn’t even have a name.
If you’re able to foster him please DM, email, or text us 🐾

BEAU💙- early road trip, left side FHO surgery schedule for this morning. Lot of yawning and we arrived a bit early giving us time for a walk around the parking lot.
Checked in - the Staff was excited to see the Big Brave Beau again. He’s in good hands.
