Springfield Santa Claus Club

Outerwear Families - don't forget TODAY, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 is the last day to pick up. Check your email for details.

Santa Claus Club Families - Check your email for a reminder about TODAY's and TOMORROW's outerwear pick!❄️☃️

Phew! The mad dash to get all the request forms in has CLOSED! We are no longer accepting any more requests for the 2026 Holiday season.

Why do we stop accepting requests "so early?" Our hard working volunteers need all the time they can to do Santa's work!

Elves begin by collecting the information sent in, then make sure we have the outerwear that was requested, sort the outerwear to make sure it goes to correct family, and organize the outerwear for the pickup. This is all done by late October.

Then there are the gift requests. The elves need to write each child's individual tag - on the tag goes their family's assigned number, their age, and gender. This allows the family and child to remain anonymous, but we can keep track of which gift goes to which child. Then we distribute the tags to generous area businesses, churches, and organizations.

That's where YOU come in. Members of our community then pick a tag, purchase the gift(s) listed on the tag, and return them to the business by early and mid-December. Our elves collect the gifts, sort them back out by the family number, and get them ready for our pick up days in December.

PHEW! That's a lot of work and about 2 months to do it in. Our hard working elves need every moment they can get!

There are a few requirements to participate in the Santa Claus Club:
*Children must live in Springfield with the caregiver filling out the form
*Children must live with the caregiver full time (or the majority of the time)
*Children must be between birth and grade 8
*Children must attend Springfield schools or a designated alternative

We are 501(c)(3) that runs 100% on volunteer hours and donations from the community. Our goal is to serve as many children in the Springfield community as possible. In order to do that, we have to have guidelines and requirements. Our donors and volunteers need to know that we honor these requirements while also supporting the children of Springfield.

Thank you for understanding and your continued support

Did you know the Springfield Santa Claus Club has been serving Springfield for over 75 years? That is HUNDREDS of families that have been supported and thousands of gifts.

If you were a Santa's Helper of the past, share your favorite memories here! Do you have any funny stories? Pictures? We want to see those pictures and hear those stories.

Welcome to the 2026 Season! For those who are not aware, our beloved director, Jean Patoine, recently passed away. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family - especially her daughters and granddaughter.

Please note our new email address - [email protected]

If you are a business that has partnered with us in the past, could you please email us the contact person's name, email, and phone number?

Thank you so much!

Good day all...

We are posting to both those in need and those that are willing to help any way they can.
All eligible past needy families with youth attending the Springfield School system K-8 grade were sent their letter and form the end of August, to be filled out and return to us by September 30th. As of today we have NOT received forms or replies from many of these families. We want to help but we can't help if you don't help us.

To any new families that are seeking help please contact us ASAP so we can talk and see how we can help you. Contact information will be at the end of this post.

To all the wonderful businesses and individuals in and around our wonderful community we want to thank you for what you already do to help the Santa Claus club help both our local families with outerwear, gifts for the holiday, and our needy seniors which their totals keep growing. Many businesses take our wish tags for their employees to fill, others post these tags in their businesses for the community members to grab and fill. These tags will be given to the businesses in a couple weeks. Please be looking. For those that don't like to shop we of course accept monetary donations. The usual donor letter will be in the mail within a week. BUT if you haven't been one of our previous donors but would like to help please us the contact information below. t
