Halloween can be a lot of noise, lights and surprises. A few sensory-friendly ideas to keep it fun 🎃
1. Comfort first with the costume
2. Practice at home
3. Go early and keep it short
4. Pack a calm kit
And a note for neighbors: not every child will say "trick or treat," and every child deserves a treat. Share this one!

It's official: Sensory Friendly Spaces is now an official Xander's Place program! 🌈 You may have found us at the Atomic Fall Festival,
the Museum of Appalachia or the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge this year.
Families shouldn't have to choose between pushing their child past their limit or packing everyone up and going home. Our sensory
spaces give kids and adults a calm place to step away, regulate, and return to the event when they're ready.
Know a festival, fair or community event that could host one? Tag them or send us a message. Want to help staff a space? We'd love
volunteers too.
What to expect at Together at the Table: Connected in Community! We would love to see even more members of our community join our fundraising event of the year.
See you there!
