Friday Night Showdown lands on a Thursday for the final regular season game of the 2026 High School football season. An undefeated Meigs County travels to Kingston for a very important Region 2 Class 3A matchup.

Both teams bring winning streaks into the game, making it one of the marquee games in the region. The recent history has been competitive. Meigs County beat Kingston 14-10 in 2025, so there is some recent rivalry momentum as well.

Bottom line: For Meigs County, it's a chance to finish off a region title and stay undefeated. For Kingston, it's a chance to knock off the region favorite and improve playoff positioning.
