We would like to share our upcoming event Educational Workshop for students next Monday (November 14) from 2:00pm-3:00pm at the Student Union Room 4A

HFTP is proud to present An Educational Workshop Event with Blinkpad.

Join us in this educational workshop that will allow students to get an insight on how Blinkpad, a silicon valley start-up, is using technology to collaborate with the Health and Hospitality & Tourism Industry to revolutionize the HR recruiting process. During the session students will be able to learn the innovative job hunting platform Blinkpad has created, and understand how it uses technology to offer individuals to match job opportunities in the health and hospitality industries.

When you think of hospitality what comes to mind?

🍍 I used to think of grand hotels, with chandeliers like the one in the picture. I could just imagine the Hyatt or Ritz Carlton, grand and sophisticated.

🍍But hospitality is about service. It’s not about the rubies and diamonds. It is about the experience brought to you by the people in the hotel (by the staff).

🍍It is found that the most memorable thing about a place you go to is how the experience made you feel. That feeling is the thing that sticks by you, makes you want to go back.

🍍During our visit we got a behind the scenes look at the different jobs people do, which helps the hotel function. We started at the kitchen and ended in the laundry room.

🍍We also got to play a fun game to help us familiarize ourselves with the hotel. We split up into groups and did a little scavenger hunt. The winner got a wireless charger! Isn’t that cool?!

🍍It was a great team building exercise, networking event, and education opportunity. (We interacted with a lot of the staff and got to hear about their experiences.)

🍍If you join our club you will be able to attend events like this and more! (These events will not be in person until after it is safe due to COVID-19).
