Grazie in particolare a per il tuo aiuto e la tua pazienza facendo questo video!!! Abbiamo passato 4 ore facendo 15 poemi in inglese…e 3 ore facendo uno in italiano 😂

A few years ago, I returned from an international escapade only to feel an uneasy sense of emptiness I couldn’t put my finger on.
I remember desribing to someone that I just “felt like a blob.” (Not the most poetic, but it was the best I could do at the time 😅)

Step into my home and you will see journals scattered in every corner. There’s at least one in every room, one in every bag. Plus piles of old receipts and opened envelopes with scribbles of verses and thoughts...
I’ve always used writing to process emotions, usually through journaling and reflection. In recent years, poetry has become an outlet for my ruminations and an expression of my joys.
As a spiritual practice, though, I think sometimes it’s helpful to detach from the words entirely: to simply feel the feelings and let them exist without assigning meaning. And when we do assign meaning, we get to choose to make it a good one. I elaborate on this in the full poem and in general musings found in my book:

Full disclosure: half the things I post make me cringe 🥴 (like this video). But I post anyway because otherwise I’d never share. And we’re all cringey sometimes 🤷🏻♀️
That’s kind of how I feel releasing this book…so many of the pieces give me an immediate pang of “agh I can’t share that”
But I’m sharing them anyway.
