A calm nervous system is the new success symbol. And honestly? It’s about time. 🤍
If you’re the one who answers at 11pm, skips lunch again, and holds everything together for everyone, I see you. For so long, we wore that like a badge.
But the leaders we admire most aren’t the busiest people in the room. They’re the steadiest. They pause. They take their breaks. They know how to come back to themselves.
Calm doesn’t mean you care less. It means you’ve stopped confusing exhaustion with commitment.
And when you’re steady, everyone around you gets a little more room to breathe.
What does success look like to you now? Tell us below. 👇

The heart behind AromaWell started in a hospice room.
At 19, I sat beside my mom in hospice. Cold room. Beeping machines. I felt helpless, with no tools to help her or myself.
A year later, a friend handed me a bottle of pure essential oil. I opened it, breathed in, and felt a little lighter for the first time in a long time.
That’s when I understood something I still believe: the air we breathe in our most vulnerable moments matters.
It’s why every AromaWell program starts with the people in the room, not the oil.
The full story is on Walks with Mom Podcast with Kim and Karen.
If you’ve ever sat in a room like that, I see you. Send this to someone who has.

Your heart needs this 30-second pause today.
Read it slowly. Breathe in on one line and out on the next.
If you have a bottle of pure essential oil nearby, open it and take one slow breath before you start.
Caring for other people asks so much of you. This moment is just for you.
All we have to do is breathe.
Send this to someone who’s carrying a lot right now.

If you’re new to aromatherapy, focus on these 3 things first! 🌿
Recently, I’ve noticed more people becoming curious about aromatherapy and how it can be used in a deeper, more evidence-informed way.
As a clinical aromatherapist, here are the 3 things I believe are worth focusing on first:
1. Learn the WHY behind the oils. Not just what’s popular online.
Understanding the nervous system, the limbic system, emotional regulation, and how scent interacts with the brain changes everything.
Aromatherapy becomes much more meaningful when you understand the science behind it.
2. Focus on safety before trends. More oils doesn’t mean better results.
Proper dilution, contraindications, delivery methods, and quality all matter, especially when supporting real people in real environments.
3. Explore how aromatherapy fits into everyday life.
The future of aromatherapy isn’t just spa settings.
It’s healthcare, mental health, workplace wellness, senior living, and stress support.
The biggest shift happens when aromatherapy becomes practical, accessible, and integrated into how people actually live and work.
This is what makes me so passionate about bringing evidence-informed aromatherapy into more spaces. 🌿

A research-backed 5-minute reset: lavender and rosemary. 🌿
In one study, people who simply smelled lavender or rosemary for five minutes had lower cortisol, one of your body's main stress hormones, right afterward.
No gadgets. No routine to master. Just an open bottle and a few slow breaths.
Here's how I do it: I open my AromaWell lavender, breathe slowly for a few minutes, then switch to rosemary when I need to refocus. It's my favorite little pause between meetings. đź’ś
One thing matters, though. The research is built on pure essential oils, not "lavender-scented" fragrance. If the label says "fragrance," it's not the same thing.

What happens when dementia patients smell this?
I’ve worked with individuals in advanced stages of dementia. People who have withdrawn into silence, their worlds shaped by confusion, disconnection, and isolation.
Caregivers gently guide them into a room.
Heads down.
Energy low.
Minimal engagement.
And then we introduce something simple…
A small aroma stick.
Infused with pure, intentional plant-based blends.
No pressure.
No expectation.
Just scent.
And then something shifts.
A pause.
A breath.
A softening in the body.
Sometimes it’s eye contact.
Sometimes it’s a word.
Sometimes it’s just presence returning, even for a moment.
And in those moments, you’re reminded:
This work isn’t about “fixing.”
It’s about reaching people where they are.
Because scent has a direct pathway to the brain by passing cognition and connecting to memory, emotion, and the nervous system.
That’s the power of aromatherapy when it’s done intentionally.
Not as fragrance.
But as a tool for connection, regulation, and care.
At AromaWell, this is what we design for every day—supporting both residents and the caregivers who show up for them.

The waiting room is where patients feel the most and can do the least.
They're nervous, they can't leave, and they have nothing to do but notice the room around them.
That's why scent zoning starts here. Before you design the aroma for the whole building, ask what this one room needs to do: help people settle, gently.
Research backs this up. In a Vienna dental office, pure orange essential oil was diffused in the waiting room only. Women who waited there reported lower anxiety, a better mood and more calm. The men showed no significant change.
So for your waiting room:
✔️ Keep it light. One pure oil, not a heavy blend.
✔️ Design this room on its own, not like the rest of the building.
✔️ Leave a seat where people can breathe without it.
One small study, and aroma isn't a treatment for anxiety. But the waiting room deserves its own plan.
Save this for your next clinic walk-through, and send it to someone who runs a practice.

This is the version of AromaWell that doesn't make it into the product descriptions.
Thirteen years of building a clinical aromatherapy company and the moments that shaped me most were never the launches. Never the partnerships. Never the recognition.
They were the nights I stayed up reformulating because a blend was close but not right, and "close" isn't good enough when it's going into a memory care unit.
They were the drives to facilities where the Plant Operations Director told me it was going to smell like a chemical bottle. And then months later told me AromaWell made a believer out of him.
They were the studies I read at midnight because the science behind olfaction is evolving and I refuse to fall behind.
And they were the quiet conversations with families. The ones who just wanted their mom to sleep. Their dad to stop being agitated. Their person to feel peace in a room that smelled like care instead of institution.
That's the work nobody sees. And it's the work that made everything else possible.
If you're building something from a place that personal, you know exactly what I mean.

The secret at our CWL Scottsdale pre-launch fit inside a roll-on. ✨
Our founders dinner took place in a lively restaurant, with our founding members around one table. I pulled out Magnetized, the CWL Signature Perfume, made exclusively for this event.
A few swipes. Deep breath. Then I passed it around to everybody at the table. Within minutes, everyone was trying it on and asking what it was. All of them have already claimed their spot to get Magnetized at the event. đź‘€
That's the feeling we want CWL to have: people are drawn in, curious, and connected before the doors even open.
Thank you to our founding members for being the very first to experience it. 🌿
Want a custom signature aroma for your own event? Send me a DM and let's create one together.
My mornings look a little weird, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. 🌿
Before 9am, before a single message:
1. Breathe in an essential oil blend before I leave the bed
2. Bare feet on the ground, five deep breaths
3. Water before coffee
4. Diffuser on, set for the day's intention
5. Ten quiet minutes to pray, journal, or just be still
6. No messages until my body feels calm
As an aromatherapist running a business, I know scent reaches the emotional part of your brain almost instantly. So I let it be the first thing my nervous system hears each day. Not my phone.
You don't need all six. Pick one and try it tomorrow.
