LOLiDE

I created lolide (pronounced: low li day) in 2010 as an outlet for all the crazy ideas that go through my head. I'm inspired by the constant intersection of order and chaos in the natural world. I use a combination of organic and industrial shapes with a sculptural focus. Each piece is completely designed and handcrafted by me in my studio in Seattle. For my jewelry, I try to create a small work of art, even down to the clasps and ear wires which are always hadmade and designed to fit the look of each individual piece. I studied art in my native state at the University of Virginia, moved to Seattle on a whim, and now consider it home. My knits are designed and knitted by me from my own designs and patterns. I create fun, fitted looks using rich, vibrant colors. I try to patronize local yarn shops whenever possible and use high quality natural fibers.
