Still looking for donations. All proceeds go to the Rec Department.

Thanks to the hard work, generosity and participation of our school community, our school raised $285.00 through the 2026 Hannaford Helps Schools program. These funds will help us continue creating a positive, thriving environment for every student. Your support has made a meaningful impact on our school and your involvement and encouragement truly make a difference for our students, teachers and staff. Thank you for your continued dedication to our school community!

An Afternoon of Learning and Collaboration!

When our educators and staff grow, our students benefit! Today’s professional development afternoon brought staff together to strengthen skills, share ideas, and build connections across our schools.

A central focus of the day was reinforcing our commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming learning environments where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Staff also participated in learning opportunities focused on literacy, math, curriculum alignment, outdoor education, student well-being, and behavior supports. Our administrative assistants collaborated on website management, Alma, and Canva, while other staff engaged in specialized training and professional collaboration. And some staff went to the Nolato Open House to learn more about how to support flexible pathways to learning for our students.

Thank you to everyone who organized, facilitated, and participated in today's learning, especially Chief Academic Officer Anda Adams, who organizes our SU professional development and empowers our staff to lead. Together, we continue to grow, strengthen our schools, and create opportunities for all students to thrive!

Reminder: Tomorrow (10/23) is an early release day. 12:00 PM dismissal. The One Planet program will not be running tomorrow.

Just in!

WRVSU has been awarded $100,000 from the Henry P. Kendall Foundation to remove the biggest obstacle to meeting our district’s goal of 25% local purchasing for our Child Nutrition Program. With adequate cold storage, we can accept larger deliveries of local beef, introduce local chicken, buy local ingredients in bulk, and launch a seasonal produce preservation pilot.

We have so much to be proud of and grateful for! Thank you to Child Nutrition Director Mischa Johnson and Farm to School Coordinator Francey Slater for pursuing Storage for a Stronger Local Food System: Increasing Local Food at White River Valley Supervisory Union.

And a BIG thank you to the Henry P. Kendall Foundation for supporting WRVSU's commitment to our Vermont economy and food producers. Prize www.kendall.org/2026winners -foundation on LinkedIn
