November invites us to slow down, reflect, and notice what’s happening both around us and within us. 🍂🤎

As we move into a season often centered on gratitude, take a little time to check in with yourself, too. Journaling can help us recognize what we’re thankful for, identify where we need more grace, and become more intentional about what we carry into the month ahead.

Choose one of these prompts, find a quiet moment, and give yourself permission to write without judgment. You might be surprised by what comes up.
What would your answer be today?

Your brain has the ability to learn, adapt, and create healthier patterns- and neurofeedback can help support that process. 🧠

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive approach that uses real-time information about brain activity to help the brain practice more regulated patterns of functioning. Over time, this training may support improvements in areas such as anxiety and stress, sleep, focus and attention, emotional regulation, and trauma-related symptoms.

At Restored Counseling, neurofeedback can be used on its own or alongside traditional therapy to support your individual treatment goals.

Curious whether neurofeedback might be a good fit for you? Reach out to Restored Counseling to learn more or schedule a consultation.

Your worth was never meant to be measured by how productive you are, how much you accomplish, or how much you do for everyone else. 🤍

It’s easy to get caught up in believing we have to earn our value- by succeeding, staying busy, meeting expectations, or keeping everyone around us happy.

But your worth is deeper than your performance. You are valuable because of who you are, not because of what you produce.

Give yourself permission to rest, to grow, to make mistakes, and to simply be. Your worth remains the same through all of it.

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your thoughts? Try coming back to the present moment. 🌿

The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique uses your five senses to help reconnect you with your body and your surroundings:

✨ 5 things you can see
✨ 4 things you can feel
✨ 3 things you can hear
✨ 2 things you can smell
✨ 1 thing you can taste

Grounding techniques like this can be especially helpful when your nervous system feels activated, your thoughts are racing, or you simply need a moment to reset.

Save this for the next time you need a simple way to slow down, reconnect with your surroundings, and remind your body: I am here, in this moment. 🤍

🤍 WE'RE GROWING! JOIN OUR TEAM AT RESTORED COUNSELING! 🤍

Restored Counseling is excited to announce that we are looking to welcome another licensed mental health clinician (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to our growing team!

We are passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care while creating a supportive and collaborative environment where our clinicians can thrive.

✨ What we're looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate clinician who values clinical excellence, meaningful client relationships, and professional growth.

At Restored Counseling, we place a strong emphasis on marriage and relationship counseling, so we would especially love to connect with someone who enjoys working with couples and helping individuals navigate relationship challenges.

We are also passionate about serving first responders and their families and would love to welcome someone who is comfortable working with this population and the unique challenges they experience.

✨ Flexible opportunities available!

We are open to in-person, virtual, or hybrid arrangements, allowing flexibility to find the right fit for both the clinician and our practice.

We believe that when clinicians feel supported and valued, they are better equipped to provide exceptional care to the individuals and families they serve. Our goal is to cultivate a team that encourages collaboration, continued learning, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference.

Your story matters- the beautiful parts, the painful parts, and even the parts you’re still trying to make sense of.

Healing doesn’t require having all the right words. Sometimes it begins with simply having a safe place to start. 🤍

At Restored Counseling, we’re here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you find the words, process your experiences, and move toward healing.

When anxiety or overwhelm starts to take over, grounding can help bring your attention back to the present moment. 🌿

The 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique is a simple tool that uses your senses to help slow racing thoughts and reconnect with what’s happening right now.

✨ 5 things you can see
✨ 4 things you can touch
✨ 3 things you can hear
✨ 2 things you can smell
✨ 1 thing you can feel

You don’t have to make the uncomfortable feelings disappear, you can give yourself a moment to notice, breathe, and feel a little more grounded.

Save this post for the next time you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally flooded. 💙

Anxiety isn’t a personality flaw- it’s often your mind and body trying to protect you.

Overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or fear of disappointing others can develop as ways to avoid rejection, criticism, conflict, or failure. While those patterns may have once helped you feel safe, they don’t have to control how you respond today.

Instead of meeting anxiety with frustration or shame, we can learn to approach it with curiosity and compassion. Therapy can help you understand what your anxiety is communicating, recognize the patterns behind it, and develop healthier ways to respond.

You don’t have to fight against yourself to experience change. 🤍

Big change doesn’t always come from big moments. More often, it’s built through the small choices we make over and over again.

Healing works the same way. It’s setting a boundary. Having the hard conversation. Practicing a new coping skill. Choosing to respond differently than you have before. Showing up for yourself, even when progress feels slow.

You don’t have to change everything at once. Small, consistent steps can create meaningful, lasting change.

At Restored Counseling, we’re here to help you take those steps- one day at a time. 🤍

When was the last time you checked in with yourself- not your schedule, your to-do list, or everyone else’s needs, but how you’re actually doing?

Emotional check-ins help us slow down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Try walking yourself through these five steps:

1. Name what you’re feeling. What emotions are showing up right now?

2. Notice your body. Where are you holding tension, heaviness, restlessness, or discomfort?

3. Get curious about why. What happened—or what have you been carrying—that may be contributing to how you feel?

4. Identify what you need. Rest? Connection? Reassurance? Space? Support? A boundary?

5. Choose one way to care for yourself. What is one healthy, realistic way you can respond to what you’re feeling?

The goal isn’t to immediately fix an uncomfortable emotion. It’s to notice it, understand it, identify what you need, and respond with intention.

Sometimes healing begins by simply paying attention to what’s happening within you. 🤍
