πŸ‚ Pastor Appreciation Sunday is THIS Sunday, November 8! πŸ‚

Join us at First Baptist Church of Springfield as we take time to show appreciation for our pastors!

We will have ONE worship service at 10:45 AM, featuring guest speaker Russell Lyle, followed by brunch in the Social Hall.

We also invite you to help us celebrate our pastors by bringing a gift card! Boxes are located outside the church office where you can drop off your gifts ahead of Sunday.

Most importantly, please keep our pastors in your prayers throughout the month of November. We are grateful for the dedication, leadership, and care they share with our church family! ❀️

Grief is a journey no one should have to walk alone. At First Baptist Church of Springfield, we're grateful for the ministry of GriefShare and the difference it makes in the lives of those navigating loss.

Grady and Jeri Varnum have faithfully served as GriefShare facilitators. We asked them to share a little about their experience leading this ministry and the opportunity they've had to walk alongside others through difficult seasons.

A few words from Grady and Jeri:

Jeri and I have had the privilege of serving as GriefShare facilitators since August 3, 2022, when we began our very first session. Since then, we have continued this ministry by leading two sessions each year. It has been an honor to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate the difficult journey of grief, offering encouragement, support, and hope through God’s love. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve in this ministry at FBCS Springfield and to be part of so many people’s journeys toward healing.

We are thankful for Grady and Jeri's willingness to serve and for the heart they have for walking alongside others through grief.

Church family, we would love for you to take a moment to pray for Grady and Jeri as they continue leading this ministry and prepare for next Saturday's seminar. Please also pray for those who will attend, that they would find encouragement, comfort, and hope during a difficult season.

Join us next Saturday, November 7, for Surviving the Holidays!

The holidays can be especially difficult when you're grieving the loss of a loved one. This special two-hour GriefShare seminar offers encouragement, support, and practical tools to help navigate the season.
