ReelCamo Girl
The Outdoor Life, Only Prettier. Women with a passion for the outdoors. We encourage responsible and ethical hunting.
ReelCamo girls are strong, capable, kind, compassionate, nature & country-loving individuals. We care about the land and wildlife management and about long term sustainability. We hunt, fish, dive, shoot and hike…for peace of mind, happiness, pure clean protein & connection to the outdoors. ReelCamoGirls can shoot a gun, draw a bow, track an animal, get CAMOed up, bait a hook, clean a fish and still be feminine. ReelCamoGirl is a lifestyle brand focused on women and girls who love to hunt, fish, hike, shoot, dive, etc. RCG offers a (safe) place, through website and social media where people can share their pictures, stories, recipes, etc. We share hunting related news and hot topics from around the industry to keep you up to date! Currently we are working on our educational library. So we can educate and mentor girls/women who are interested in getting started hunting, fishing, or other outdoor activities. Another Type of Outdoor Adventure
Have you ever heard of "The World's Largest Marble Hunt?" It's a group I found on social media this year and it's dedicated to treasure hunting... for marbles... hidden all over the U.S. and beyond! These aren't just any marbles that you'd find in a junk drawer, but rather they're artisan marbles, each unique and hand crafted by local artists! This summer, we went out hunting for the first time and had success! The clues were fun to follow, the hike to find them was beautiful and full of nature, and actually finding the treasures was the icing on the cake! If you're looking for a fun way to get your kids outdoors, we highly recommend trying this!
Happy hunting! Whether it's for your typical game or for a whole new type of treasure!

Our first trip of many out west this fall was so good for the soul. Good dogs, good company, boots on the ground and blessed to harvest some and to feed our family

A couple weeks ago we cut the grass at my trap club for the last time and finished things off with a fun little family & friends shoot. "Hired" the kiddos to go collect targets in the field that were still whole. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak in a couple more practice days before Manitoba decides we’ve had enough nice weather, but after that, my sh***un is basically going into hibernation until February/March.
Yes, I know it’s bird season.
Yes, there are Canada geese everywhere.
No, I have not been out. 😂
Getting up at an ungodly hour to sit outside in the cold, then going to work all day afterwards? I simply do not have that level of dedication in me. I like trap shooting. I also like being warm and sleeping. So what does a Camo Girl do when her shooting season ends? … gun shows. When i'm not teaching i enjoy setting up a table at a local hall, putting together goodie bags for the kids, bringing some merch along, and getting to visit with people I normally only see around the fi****ms community. Trap season may be over for me, but apparently fi****ms don’t really have an off-season. They just become slightly warmer indoor activities. 😄
What does everyone else of in their off season?

Puppies really are the best therapy. So honored to bring a little extra joy to our local nursing homes with puppies from my breeding programs.

Each fall we're excited to see the annual wreath that Prostaff Tarra Stoddard creates. This year's, did not disappoint! 😍
"This year's door wreath is full of memories. The pheasant feathers are from a hunt with a dear friend a few years back, the pine cones came from the property where I hunt, and the whitetail sheds were a lucky find."

When hunting is your happy place, you make it happen!
"After all my chronic illness health problems this year, medication side effects, etc..., I finally felt like something good happened to me when I got this buck! I am still dealing with some fatigue and arthritis. I've been going out as much as I can tolerate this fall. I have been seeing quite a few bull moose, but no draw for me, and I saw 40+ does and fawns. So I was very happy, and relieved to get this guy."

"My first archery harvest. 🦌🏹
I started this journey with my dad in my early 20s, and I lost him when I was 28. After that, I honestly didn’t think I’d ever hunt again, or even pick up a bow.
Sixteen years later, a friend was selling her setup and I jumped on it. My son was curious about archery, and because of Texas Womens Outdoors, LLC I figured I might as well learn so I could help women and learn right alongside them.
My first season, I never got an opportunity at anything mature enough to pull back on. Last season I did, but we never recovered the animal with the rain and jumping properties. I felt defeated. But I kept practicing, and this season, three days in, right after guiding a mentored doe hunt, I made it happen. All the emotions and all that hard work finally paid off.
I still have so much to learn and I’m already eager to get back out there. But everybody starts somewhere. Don’t let people get in your head. Keep going, keep practicing, and keep trying. The only way to learn is by doing. You’re going to make mistakes, and that’s okay. We all do!
Get out there make memories and have a great season!" 🧡

Hornworms: I have been pillaged. I accidentally planted a tomato plant (thank you mystery Temu seeds) in my front flower garden. Apparently this was the spot for tomatoes. This plant was taller than me and wider than me, I am not sure I have ever seen a tomato bush before but she was lovely, cute little cherry tomatoes every day. Then all the sudden she started to look sad. It has been hot but I have a drip line. Then one morning I came out to water and there was this weird black stuff all over my porch next to the plant and all the leaves were gone. I had been pillaged by at least 14 To***co Hornworms. I have not met this creature before and have done some learning. I am not a bug squisher by nature and save all the animals and bugs. Even the wasps that sting really bad. But this was personal. I removed these 14 plant eating machines and hope that my plant will rebound in our long growing season.
There are 2 types of Hornworm that we often see in the US. The Tomato Hornworm and the To***co Hornworm. You can treat them, if you catch them early with Bacillus thuringeniesis if you catch them early. Squish them or put them in warm soapy water. Apparently, they grow into a giant moth. Has anyone else had an interaction with this garden menace? Prostaff Jaimie, .
