🟠 ORANGE DAY 2026 | RUNNING FOR INCLUSION, DIGNITY AND A SOCIETY FREE FROM GBVF! 🧡
Together, We Run for a Purpose. Together, We Build an Inclusive Society!
The Northern Cape Department of Social Development, in collaboration with the Diamonds and Dorings Kimberley Marathon, proudly invites communities, stakeholders and social partners to join a collective movement advancing the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF), while championing the rights, dignity and meaningful inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
Through the Orange Day Campaign and a dedicated Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative, this collaboration demonstrates the transformative power of sport, social solidarity and collective responsibility in dismantling barriers, challenging discrimination and promoting equal opportunities for all.
Our message is unequivocal: Disability must never be a barrier to participation, GBVF must never be normalised, and no person should be excluded from the opportunities and freedoms that define a just society.
We call upon communities, athletes, civil society, businesses and government institutions to stand united in building a Northern Cape where everyone is valued, protected, empowered and included.
🧡 Join us as we turn every stride into a statement against violence, every participation into an affirmation of dignity, and every partnership into meaningful social change!

🎀💗 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 2026 💗🎀
The Northern Cape Department of Health joins the nation in observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the theme: “Every story is unique, every journey matters.”
This October, we raise awareness about the importance of early detection, equitable access to healthcare and support for everyone affected by breast cancer. Every person’s journey is different, and everyone deserves access to timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment and quality care.
Know your body. Recognise the signs. Seek medical attention for any unusual changes. Early detection and timely treatment can make a difference.
Let us stand together to raise awareness, break the stigma and support those affected by breast cancer.
