Have We Become So Used to Our Blessings That We No Longer Notice Them?

Have you ever prayed for something so desperately, and when you finally received it, you were filled with so much joy and gratitude?

But somewhere along the way, that same thing became part of your everyday life, and you stopped noticing it as much.

Isn't it interesting how that happens?

We pray for a job, and when we get one, we eventually become so used to going to work that we forget the prayers we once prayed.

We pray for a home, an opportunity, a breakthrough or a better season in life. Then, when things start falling into place, our attention shifts to the next thing we want.

Suddenly, what we once called a blessing becomes something we expect.

And I wonder how often we do this without even realising it.

We are so focused on what God has not done yet that we sometimes forget to appreciate what He has already done.

Now, there's nothing wrong with wanting more or believing God for greater things. We all have dreams, and it's okay to pray for them.

But wanting more should never make us blind to what we already have.

Sometimes, the blessing hasn't changed. We've simply become accustomed to having it.

Perhaps that's why we need to pause every now and then and remember where we started, what we prayed for and how far we've come.

The things that feel ordinary to us today may be the very things we once asked God for.

So, my tea friends, before we rush into another day of asking, planning and hoping for more, let's take a moment to look around us with grateful hearts.

What do you have in your life today that you once prayed for, but have slowly stopped appreciating?

Maybe it's time to thank God for it again. 🀍

β˜• Tea Moments with Queen R β€” Day 125

Have you ever tried your best to move forward, but no matter how hard you work, it feels like you're getting nowhere?

Sometimes, we blame ourselves. We think we're not doing enough, we're not trying hard enough, or perhaps we're simply not good enough.

But have we ever stopped to consider the environment we're trying to grow in?

Think about a plant. You can water it, give it attention and do everything you can to help it grow, but if the conditions around it aren't right, it will struggle to flourish.

And sometimes, we're not so different.

The negativity around us, the constant stress, the lack of peace and the challenges we face every day can slowly drain the energy we need to grow.

It can affect our confidence, our decisions, our dreams and even the way we see ourselves.

You could be trying to build a business, improve your life, raise your children, heal from something painful or simply become a better version of yourself. But when your surroundings constantly drain you, even the smallest steps forward can feel exhausting.

Now, this doesn't mean we can blame our circumstances for everything, or that we must wait for life to be perfect before we can make progress.

Sometimes, we have to grow through difficult seasons.

But we must also recognise when our surroundings are affecting us and begin making changes where we can, even if those changes are small.

You may not be able to change everything around you today, but you can start by protecting your peace, being mindful of what you allow into your life and making room for things that help you grow.

Remember, struggling to flourish doesn't always mean you're failing. Sometimes, you need to look at the conditions you're trying to grow in.

Are you giving yourself the chance to grow, or are you spending so much energy surviving your environment that you have little left to flourish?

When Love Becomes an Expectation

Have you ever noticed how easily we can get used to the things people do for us?

At first, we appreciate the effort. We notice the sacrifices. We say thank you.

But over time, something changes. What once felt like a gift slowly becomes something we expect.

And sometimes, we don't even realise we've stopped appreciating it.

Think about the people who show up for us, the ones who make life a little easier, who give their time, energy and love without always being asked.

How often do we stop and think about what it takes for them to keep doing those things?

The truth is, love can make people give more than they have to give. But just because someone loves us doesn't mean they never get tired, never feel hurt or never need appreciation themselves.

And this is something worth thinking about, whether it's between parents and children, family members, friends or the people we share our lives with.

Being loved by someone should never make us careless with their heart.

We shouldn't have to wait until someone stops doing things for us before we recognise how much they meant to us.

Sometimes, the people who do the most are the ones whose efforts we notice the least, simply because we've become so accustomed to them.

So today, let's take a moment to reflect on our own lives.

Have we become so comfortable receiving love that we've forgotten to appreciate the people giving it?

Are we showing the same consideration, respect and gratitude that we hope to receive from others?

Remember, my tea friends, love isn't only about what we're willing to give. It's also about how we treat the people who give to us.

Never allow someone's love for you to become the reason you stop valuing them. 🀍

🎀❀️ MEET OUR ARTIST: NAYTHAN WITH A Y! ❀️🎀

Every person has a story, and Naythan’s story is one of music, redemption, and God’s amazing grace πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

His singing journey started on the street corners of Despatch, singing with friends to everyone who walked past. From there, he joined The Unexpected, ATAP (All Things Are Possible) and The Visionairs, where he spent three years learning and growing.

He later founded Vocals for Christ, naming the group himself. After five years together, the group never reunited following COVID. But that wasn't the end of his journey... Out of that season, Naythan with a Y was born, and he stepped onto the stage as a solo artist. 🎢

πŸ™πŸΌ Today, Naythan celebrates 5 years clean from alcohol, giving all the praise to God for His mercy and grace

For him, singing is more than a gift. It has helped save his life, opened doors, and given him the opportunity to touch and change the lives of others. He is grateful that God can use his gift for a greater purpose.

This year's theme, RESTORED, speaks deeply to his heart. Naythan has experienced loss and failure, but he believes that God can restore what was lost and make even the years we thought were wasted fruitful again. ❀️

And what makes this picnic even more special to him? Getting to sing alongside his children and perform for them! What a beautiful blessing! πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

Naythan’s story reminds us that our past does not have to define our future, and with God, there is always hope for restoration!

πŸ“– β€œAnd after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will himself restore you.” β€” 1 Peter 5:10

Let's celebrate Naythan with a Y and the beautiful testimony God is still writing through his life! πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸŽ€

Are We Sometimes the Reason We Don't Move Forward?

Have you ever said, β€œOne day I'll do it,” only to find yourself saying the same thing months later?

Sometimes, we want change so badly, but fear, excuses and waiting for the perfect moment keep us stuck.

We want to grow, try something new or follow a dream, but we keep finding reasons why we can't start just yet.

Now, not every struggle is our fault. Life brings challenges we cannot control. But we also have to be honest about the things we can change.

Are we doing what we can with what we have, or are we waiting for everything to be perfect before we begin?

Sometimes, we pray for new opportunities but are too afraid to take the first step when they come.

Maybe we don't need to have everything figured out. Maybe we just need to stop letting fear make our decisions.

So, my tea friends, here's something to think about today:

What is one thing you've been putting off because you're afraid, unsure or waiting for the right time?

Remember, you don't have to change everything in one day. Sometimes, moving forward begins with one honest decision.

β˜• Tea Moments with Queen R β€” Day 122

Wednesday, 7 October 2026

Are You Listening to God, or Only Talking to Him?

We spend a lot of time talking to God.

We tell Him what we need.
We ask Him for help.
We bring Him our worries.
We thank Him for what He has done.

And that's good.

But here's a question I've been thinking about:

Do we ever stop talking long enough to listen?

Prayer can sometimes become a list of everything we want God to do.

β€œGod, please help me with this.”
β€œGod, please fix that.”
β€œGod, please open this door.”

Then we say β€œAmen” and carry on with our day.

But what if God wants to speak to us too?

Maybe we're so busy filling the silence that we never give ourselves a chance to hear.

Listening to God doesn't always mean hearing an actual voice.

Sometimes it's that feeling in your heart that you shouldn't do something.

Sometimes it's a Scripture that suddenly speaks directly to what you're going through.

Sometimes it's a quiet thought that won't leave you alone.

Sometimes God uses people, circumstances or even a closed door to get our attention.

But we have to make room for it.

Psalm 46:10 says:

β€œBe still, and know that I am God.”

Be still.

Not because there is nothing happening, but because sometimes we need to stop long enough to notice what God may already be saying.

Maybe today, instead of starting our prayer with everything we want to tell God, we can simply say:

β€œGod, I'm listening. What do You want me to hear today?”

And then be quiet for a moment.

No rushing.

No list.

Just listen.

Because prayer isn't only about us speaking to God.

It's also about making room to hear Him.

β˜• Tea Moments with Queen R β€” Day 121

Monday, 5 October 2026

Have You Ever Been Mad At God?

Can we be honest over today's cup of tea?

Have you ever been mad at God?

Not because you stopped believing in Him.
Not because you don't love Him.

But because something happened that hurt you, and you didn't understand why He allowed it.

Maybe you prayed for something for a long time and nothing changed.

Maybe you watched someone you love go through something painful.

Maybe you did everything you knew to do, prayed, believed, waited… and still ended up asking, β€œGod, why?”

And then you felt guilty because you thought, β€œSurely I shouldn't feel like this. I'm supposed to trust God.”

But God already knows.

He knows the thoughts we don't say out loud.
He knows the questions we are afraid to ask.
He knows when our hearts are hurting.

So why do we feel like we have to hide those feelings from Him?

David questioned God. Job questioned God. They brought their pain straight to Him.

They didn't pretend.

And maybe that's something we can learn from them.

You can tell God you're hurt.

You can tell Him you're disappointed.

You can ask Him why.

You can even say, β€œGod, I'm angry.”

That doesn't mean you've stopped believing.

Sometimes it simply means you're hurting and you don't understand.

Psalm 62:8 says:

β€œPour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

Pour out your heart.

Not just the pretty parts.

Not just the words you think you're supposed to say.

All of it.

Because God would rather hear your honest heart than a perfect prayer that doesn't reflect how you really feel.

And maybe you don't need to have everything figured out before you talk to Him.

Just start with the truth.

β€œGod, this is how I feel.”

He already knows.

β˜•πŸ‘‘ Day 120 β€” Who Are You With God When Nobody Is Watching?

Have you ever seen someone at church and thought,
β€œWhat a wonderful Christian.”

They're friendly.

They speak kindly.

They know all the right things to say.

They pray.

They worship.

They help others.

And then you see them at home...

And you wonder:

β€œIs this really the same person?”

It's something I've thought about before.

Because it's easy to look like a Christian in church.

But what about Monday morning?

What about when you're angry?

What about when someone gets on your nerves?

What about how you speak to your family?

How do you treat the people who can't do anything for you?

How do you speak to the person who disagrees with you?

That's where things get real.

Going to church doesn't automatically make us good people.

Knowing Scripture doesn't mean much if we use it to impress people but don't live by it.

And saying β€œGod is good” on Sunday means very little if the people living in our homes only see anger, shouting, disrespect or cruelty during the week.

I'm not saying any of us are perfect.

We all have bad days.

We all get frustrated.

We all make mistakes.

But there's a difference between making mistakes and putting on a Christian image for other people while living completely differently behind closed doors.

Galatians 5:22–23 talks about the fruit of the Spirit β€” love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Those things aren't only for Sunday.

They're meant to show up in our everyday lives too.

So maybe today's question isn't about the person sitting next to us in church.

Maybe it's about us.

If someone only knew me from church, would they recognise the person I am at home?

That's a hard question.

But maybe it's one worth asking.

Because our faith shouldn't only be something people hear from our mouths.

It should also be something they can see in the way we live.

02/10/2026

β˜•πŸ‘‘ Day 119 β€” Can You Trust God When You Don’t Understand Him?

Let me be honest...

Trusting God is easy when things are going the way you want them to.

But what about when they aren't?

What about when you pray and nothing seems to change?

When you ask God for an answer, but you're still waiting?

When something happens and you sit there thinking,
β€œGod, I really don't understand this.”

I've had those moments.

I'm sure many of us have.

We can believe in God and still have questions.

We can love God and still feel confused.

We can pray and still wonder why He hasn't done something yet.

And I think that's where trust becomes real.

Because if we understood everything God was doing, we wouldn't really need faith, would we?

Proverbs 3:5 says:

β€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

That last part gets me...

β€œLean not on your own understanding.”

Because my understanding is limited.

I only see what is happening right now.

God sees what I can't see.

So maybe I don't need to understand everything today.

Maybe I can simply say:

β€œGod, I don't understand this, but I still trust You.”

That doesn't mean the questions disappear.

It doesn't mean waiting suddenly becomes easy.

It just means I choose not to let what I don't understand make me forget who God is.

And maybe that's something we can all think about today:

Can you trust God even when you don't understand what He's doing?

β˜•πŸ‘‘ Until our next cup of tea...
