🐝☕ COFFEE BAR UPDATE – IT TAKES A VILLAGE! ❤️
WOW! What a difference a couple of days can make! 🤩
🎨 A HUGE shoutout to Deco-pro Manawatu who have spent the last two days transforming our coffee bar with a fresh coat of paint! Thanks to Dulux, we now have a beautiful, warm, earthy space coming to life! 🌿 And yes, for those who guessed our colours… we used BOTH! 😉
🔨 Our handy-dandy builder Simon Turney has also been in with some AMAZING ideas up his sleeve! Keep an eye out for what’s coming!
💡 And the only electrician you should be calling, Jaime from AuldSpark Electrical , has been busy sorting our lighting and all things electrical. Another absolute legend!
❤️ They say it takes a village to raise a child… well, my spin on that is it takes a town full of amazing tradies and big-hearted people to bring a dream to life!
No money paid, no expectations, just incredible people giving their time, skills and resources for the greater good. 🥹
And the best part? We’re not just building a coffee bar. We’re creating opportunities for our disabled whānau to work, connect, contribute and BELONG! 🐝❤️
🙏 WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP, WHĀNAU!
To everyone who has donated, big or small, THANK YOU! Every contribution makes a difference, and you’re now part of this story too. 🥰
If you can donate, please click our link below. 👇

And if you can’t, that’s absolutely okay! A simple LIKE, SHARE or TAG can go a long way!
Let’s keep spreading this far and wide and show what a community can achieve when we come together! ❤️
This isn’t just our coffee bar… it’s OUR COMMUNITY’S journey! 🐝☕

💚💚 HELP US BRING OUR COFFEE BAR TO LIFE! ☕🌿
We’ve been choosing our colours for the walls and feature walls, and we’re loving this beautiful combination of earthy sage green and warm, creamy neutrals. 🌿🤍
Now comes the fun part… deciding what goes inside! 👀
We want our coffee bar to feel warm, welcoming, a little bit quirky, and somewhere people can come in, feel comfortable, connect with others and simply be themselves. 💚
So, we’re putting the question out to our amazing community…
WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE INSIDE OUR COFFEE BAR?
💡 Think:
🌿 Hanging plants or a beautiful green feature wall
🪴 Cool plant pots and greenery
☕ Unique coffee cups, mugs or coffee-related décor
🪵 Wooden shelves or rustic timber features
💡 Warm pendant lights or fairy lights
🖼️ Inspirational quotes or artwork
🛋️ Cosy seating and cushions
🪞 A funky mirror or statement piece
🧺 Beautiful baskets, natural textures and handmade pieces
🎨 Local artists’ work or creations made by our community
Or perhaps you have an idea that we haven’t even thought of yet! 🤔✨
Drop your ideas in the comments below! 👇
And if you’ve seen something in a shop, online, at a café, or even tucked away in your own home that you think would look amazing, we’d love you to share a photo or tag us! 📸
Let’s create something beautiful as a community together, Feilding! 🌿☕💚

🦸♀️🧁 CALLING ALL LOCAL BAKING SUPERHEROES… WE NEED YOU! 🍰✨
Do you have a magical way with slices, cakes, brownies, biscuits, muffins or other delicious homemade goodies? 👀🍪
We might just have a place for your baking superpowers! 💛
As we get ready to open our new community coffee bar at 22 Stafford Street, Feilding, we are looking for local home bakers who are licensed by the council and might be interested in becoming part of our kaupapa.
But first, let us tell you why this means so much to us. 🌸
Our coffee bar is about so much more than coffee. We are creating meaningful employment opportunities for our disabled whānau, giving people the chance to develop new skills, build confidence, connect with their community and experience the pride of contributing and belonging.
We want to do things a little differently. ❤️
Rather than simply directing our support towards large corporate organisations, we want to create opportunities for our own local whānau, small businesses and talented people in our community to grow alongside us.
We want our community to benefit from our kaupapa, not just our customers! 🙌
So, if you are a local baker with a passion for creating delicious treats and would love the opportunity to have your goodies sold through our coffee bar, we would absolutely love to hear from you!
🧁 Can you make magical slices?
🍰 Are your cakes the talk of the town?
🍪 Do your brownies, biscuits or muffins disappear faster than you can bake them?
We want to hear from YOU! 😍
If you are council-licensed and interested in being part of our journey, please send us a message so we can chat about your menu, pricing and what working together could look like.
📍 LOCAL WHĀNAU FIRST!
At this stage, we are specifically looking for bakers in and around Feilding and our local community. We want to give our own whānau the first opportunity to be part of our crew and help us build something special together.
You never know where a little opportunity might lead. 💫
Let’s support local talent, create opportunities and make our community a place where everyone has the chance to shine.
Calling all local baking superheroes… dust off those aprons, warm up those ovens and come be part of something special! 🦸♀️🧁🐝
📩 Message us if this sounds like you, or tag someone below who has the baking superpowers we need!
A community coffee bar built on connection, opportunity and belonging. 💛

We finally have the keys in our hands whānau and our dreams have turned into reality just like that our journey begins and you are all part of this amazing kaupapa ✨✨
We still have a little way to go with renovations but with support from amazing businesses in our community we’re all go!!!
We had Dwayne from Deco-pro Manawatu come in today to go over our vision so he’s all ready for painting next week with his crew. Give him a follow if you need any painting done whānau they are high quality and community focused 🙏🙏
We still need to keep pushing along and donations make a huge difference so please if you are able to help little or big it all makes a difference. If you are not in a position don’t worry you can still help by sharing this far and wide. You may share and someone that really connects with this sees and donates 🦋🦋🦋
https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/tangata-whaikaha-people-with-disabilities-matter
I will be sharing updates the whole way whānau until opening day so keep an eye on our page if you want to see where we are at.
Thanks each and every one of you out there supporting this we really are lucky to have such a strong community backing 💙❤️💛💚

🌸☕ WE’VE SIGNED THE LEASE WHĀNAU — NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP! ☕🌸
It’s official! 🎉 We have signed the lease for 22 Stafford Street, Feilding, and we are one step closer to opening our very special coffee bar! ❤️
As a reminder, this isn’t just another coffee bar. This is about creating meaningful employment opportunities for our tangata whaikaha (disabled whānau), giving them a place to learn, grow, contribute, build relationships and feel a genuine sense of belonging within their community.
But we still really need your support! 🙏
With opening costs exceeding $15,000, we have a big journey ahead of us, and every little bit of support will make a difference.
❤️ WANT TO HELP?
🌸 Donate: If you’re in a position to contribute financially, please consider donating through our Givealittle link below. No amount is too small!
🌸 Businesses & Tradies: If you can donate your time, services, materials, equipment or products, we would absolutely love to hear from you!
🌸 Spread the word: Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can!
We have already reached out to several local businesses and have received some wonderful responses, which we are incredibly grateful for. ❤️
As a way of giving back to those who give to us, every business that contributes to this kaupapa, in whatever way they can, will have their logo proudly displayed inside our coffee bar.
Our hope is that when our community visits, they will see the businesses that helped make this possible and choose to support them in return. Community supporting community! 🤝
☕ THE PUSH IS ON, WHĀNAU! ☕
We are nearly there, but we need one final big push to bring this vision to life!
We see this as a community journey, not just our own, so we will continue sharing updates as often as possible. We want everyone to feel included, involved and part of something meaningful.
Because at the heart of it all, this is about our tangata whaikaha and our wider community coming together to create opportunities that might not otherwise exist.
Please share this far and wide, whānau. Let’s get this coffee bar up and running! 🌸
Thank you to everyone who has already supported, encouraged, donated or simply believed in what we are trying to achieve.
We’re not just opening a coffee bar. We’re opening doors to opportunity, connection and belonging. ❤️💛💚💙
