Today Beau’s Law goes into effect. We thought we’d share this news story about the new law and how it protects dogs. We are so thankful for our state lawmakers for approving this law and hope that it has the intended purpose for these precious animals.

What you need to know about Beau's Law, taking effect Oct. 1 Leave your dog tied to a post, and you could face a misdemeanor charge. Beau's Law bans fixed tethers and establishes minimum care requirements for dogs in Alabama.
