This November, Springfield Supported Housing Program (SSHP) is adding a little GNOME magic to the season of gratitude!
We're turning November into GNOVEMBER — 30 Days of Gratitude! ❤️
Throughout the month, our SSHP gnomes will be sharing a special message of thanks each day, recognizing the incredible people who help make our mission possible.
🏡 Our community supporters who believe everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home.
🤝 Our partner agencies who collaborate, advocate, and work alongside us to support our neighbors.
💜 The individuals and families who trust us to walk alongside them, share their stories, and provide support and guidance during challenging times.
🌻 Our dedicated staff, volunteers, landlords, donors, and community members who make a difference in ways both big and small.
Every act of kindness, every partnership, and every moment of trust helps build a stronger, more compassionate community.
Because finding a place to call home takes a community — and we are GNOME-where without YOU! 🧡
Follow along throughout GNOVEMBER as we celebrate 30 days of gratitude, one heartfelt thank-you at a time.
🍁 There's no place like GNOME when we work together!
🧡 Hello, Friends of SSHP!
We could use your help stocking our shelter units with a few household essentials:
• Toaster ovens
• Microwaves
• Full-size and twin XL sheets
• Towels
These everyday items help make our shelter apartments welcoming and comfortable for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
If you’re able to donate, please message us to coordinate. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors! 🏡

Calling All Small Scale and/or Hopeful Home Creators Across Windsor and Windham Counties: Funding available now! The VHIP 2.0 Program is open and accepting applications. The state-wide program helps you create more affordable rental homes in your community whether that's through creating a standalone "in-law" apartment, converting vacant space into apartments, or bringing back blighted homes to safe conditions. Find out more and apply today by visiting the website: https://www.homemattershere.org/rental-rehab/
VHIP 2.0 is a competitive program. Applications will be reviewed for completeness within 15 days of being submitted and returned if incomplete. All applications will be scored using scoring criteria as detailed on the website.
VHIP 2 is primarily a reimbursement program that works with private property owners to create or rehab rental housing stock across Vermont through forgivable loans of either five or ten-year terms. These homes, including accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and multifamily rentals will be leased at an affordable rate for at least 5-10 years depending on the funding structure. Windham & Windsor housing Trust administers this program in Windham and Windsor Counties.

Families experiencing housing instability often need support beyond the school system. This SSHP resource poster highlights organizations that can help with housing, legal concerns, youth services, mental health, special education, and other essential needs.
Please save and share this resource so families in our community know where to turn for help. No family should have to navigate these challenges alone.
